Director of Public Works reports no danger of under-
mining jetties at Kowloon. Price quoted includes
deposit of dredging in reclamation payment to be 33
cents per cubic yard for dredging computed on section(s) takon of the harbour bed and 30 cents for filling measured in reclamation. If works sanctioned in your telegram only are undertaken company require 35 and 30 cents respectively but will revert to 33 and 30 if
full programme is decided on before sanctioned work is
completed. Director of Public Works considers this reasonable and I recommend acceptance. Immediate
reply required. Will endeavour to obtain contribution from Kowloon Wharf Company.
